Swivel-D Anchor Corrugated Metal Roofing:

The Swivel-D anchor is a fully articulating anchor that rotates 360-degrees and swivels 180-degrees. It can attach to virtually any structure including steel, wood and concrete with the proper 5/8” fastener (see Instruction Manual for fastener specifications). It is factory supplied with a 5/8”x2.5” bolt and lock nut. The Swivel-D is manufactured with a heavy-duty stainless-steel shackle and a zinc plated 2.0” inside diameter forged steel D-ring as well. It is a highly durable anchor that can be used for either temporary or permanent installation on the interior or exterior of your building or structure.

Permanent installation onto corrugated metal roofing is achieved using our exclusive Base Plate #1028-BP-1. The backer plate installs in the flat metal plane of the metal roofing plane of the roofing material and the anchor bolts to the top of it using a 5/8” bolt. The backer is attached from under the roofing substrate with a 5/8” bolt as well. Caulking is applied to the bottom of the backer to make a waterproof seal. The beveled edges on the bottom of the backer are designed to be caulked to further enhance waterproofing. The anchor must be bolted to or through a framing structure capable of supporting 5,000 pounds or 2x the intended fall protection load per OSHA 1910:140. Maximum 20’ spacing is recommended.
